Volunteer Meet Report - 17.04.2015

Dear All,
Volunteers meet was organised for the celebration of Nurses day 2015 and All India Nursing leaders, associations on 17.04.2015 at 6th floor auditorium, trauma building, Dr.RML hospital, New Delhi from 1100 to 1400 hours. This was headed by Mrs.G Khurana, General Secretary, DNU.
There were 33 participants from more than 10 hospitals and a special guest Mr.Ashok Kumar, General Secretery, Rajya Rajakiya Nurses Sangh, Uttar Pradesh and Mr.Premchand, General Secretary, All Indian Public Service Employers Federation.

Mr.Santosh briefed the programme schedule and updated till date developments along with the discussion. Some of the discussion points were:

Positive March:

  •  It can be postponed for one hour so that we can have a candle march from Dr.RML hospital to Jantar Mantar.
  • A flex of size 6*6 or 6*8 with major demands will be carried along with the march to create an awareness among the general public.
  • Mobilising nurses from private hospitals with their problems was on priority. All the members have decided to get 2-3 nurses from private hospitals for the march
  • All the members who join the march should be known to delegated or organising commiittee members so unknown people and unwanted events can be avoided.
  • From all the hospitals first shift completed nurses will be motivated and mobilised to be a part of it.
Chief Guest for inauguration:  A invitation letter has been sent to central health minister and it has reached an appointment section. Mr.Suresh will follow that up. An appeal was made among the participants to use their contacts to get him on boards.

Chief Guest for Valedictory: Consensus was formed to invite Delhi Chief minister as a chief guest. Ms.Anita Panwar volunteered to follow up and get him on board.

Commiittee: Ms.Sandhya and Ms.Gargi lead all volunteeres enlist them in various commiittes as per their interest and come forward to arrange this event.



Mr.Ashok Kumar shared his experiences of organising such mega events at Uttar Pradesh. He shared his experiences of organisation, strategies which used to build a strong team and fulfill the demands.

This event was well managed by the friends from Dr.RML hospitals, a special note of thanks for their continuous, selfless efforts in this historical event.
