Introduction
In last fifteen years there was a
transformation in nursing education, practice and research which has created
mixed responses. We were glad that more number of students with good caliber
joined the profession and creation of the thousands of specialists but there
were many problems created like regional imbalances in institutions, mushrooming
of private players, lack of avenues for these talents and step mother attitude
of government policies towards the profession collectively created a distress.
All these professionals are not heard either from professional bodies or
government hence followed the birth of many associations and unions to raise
the voice for their rights.
In the mode of development, various
modes and means of communication made easy to communicate and know each other.
With these modes and means we could able to track various events occurring in
health including nursing profession. Analysis of the health developments and
nursing issues revealed the need unite nursing association and unions both
private and public sector. With this goal Delhi Nurses Union has initiated to
organize a Nurses Day at national level and invite all associations and unions
to acknowledge and appreciate each other.
Outcome:
at the end of the conference we will

and acknowledge activities of various nursing association.

macro political and economic changes having detrimental impact on health.
ü Have
consensus to form national advocacy team/consortium.
Objective

state and national level policy and planning

states and disseminate on regular basis (monthly or bimonthly)

evidences of practice (independent and interdependent)
